[00:00:02] My name is Jessica Chicorelli, and I’ve been with Charles Schwab for two and a half years.

[00:00:08] I've always wanted to help people, and being into health and wellness, I got my degree in Health Science.

Cut to Jessica in athletic clothing, holding a tennis racket, as she walks onto the tennis court. We see her in a tennis stance, hitting a tennis ball served to her.

[00:00:15] My goal was to work for a corporation and run their Health and Wellness program, which landed me a job in Employee Benefits. So really, I started on the Plan Sponsor side of things.

[00:00:25] I learned early on that small savings you do daily can add up to big savings for your future. So I became a student of personal finance and wanted to learn how to build enough wealth to live with freedom and security.

We see pictures laid out on a table of her four kids together, smiling.

[00:00:39] I have four kids, and they tell me that I've encouraged them to start saving. If they earn money for something, they'll ask me to put a portion of that into their savings account. It's music to my ears.

[00:00:51] Doing this for my family and my clients has shown me that you have to be mentally well, physically well, and financially well.

Cut back to Jessica at the tennis court, skillfully returning another shot.

[00:00:59] That's why I love my job at Schwab.

Cut to Jessica outside the Schwab office building, looking determined.

[00:01:02] Another reason I love my job is also something that sets us apart — the people. We have this huge team, but we're all in it together.

Jessica is at a table working with three of her colleagues around a dry-erase whiteboard table. They are drawing on the table, coming up with a plan together.

[00:01:11] And to me, it's refreshing. I've never experienced that before. If I call on anyone at Schwab to help with an issue or a challenge, either they're going to help me or they are going to find somebody else that can. You're never alone.

Cut back to Jessica and her colleagues working around the table. There are shots of them smiling together as they work, and other shots of them looking focused on the task at hand.

[00:01:25] I'm happy that I can put on my Plan Sponsor hat to help my teammates. I'll think, "What would I want my expert to do for me in this moment?".

[00:01:34] It always amazes me how much we at Schwab listen to our client's words, listen to what's going on with their business and their teams, and how that may impact their plans or employees.

[00:01:45] I'm very proud to be a part of Schwab.

[00:00:02] My name is Clay Alliston and I'm the Southeast Sales Director for Schwab Retirement Plan Services.

[00:00:06] I've been in the business for 21 years now, my entire career, really working in the corporate retirement plan space.

We see pictures laid out on a table. One picture says, “Yale University School of Architecture.” The other pictures are of notable buildings across the Yale campus.

[00:00:12] Growing up, I thought I was going to be a famous athlete or architect. But after a summer internship at a regional bank, I was inspired to change my major to economics and really enjoyed getting to see people saving and the power of compounding interest. It led me to this career.

Clay is working with two of his colleagues around a laptop. They are all smiling while discussing their work.

[00:00:28] I came to Schwab because of their stellar reputation for culture and the guiding principle of always doing the right thing for the client. I believe we provide something that many consultants and plan sponsors appreciate, and it really is building relationships. Getting to understand clients and their needs, and not selling a product.

Cut to Clay walking through the Schwab office, looking motivated. There are some shots of him walking through the office on his cell phone, talking to clients.

[00:00:44] Schwab also has a boutique mindset. We're flexible, but we're backed with the breadth of products and services found in large financial institutions.

[00:00:59] Here at Schwab, we're not selling recordkeeping. We're not selling technology. Our people and the relationships we create do the selling for us. We're also not naive enough to think that a lot of our competitors will say "We're different".

Cut back to Clay walking through the office, talking to clients on his cell phone.

[00:01:14] Sometimes it's difficult to understand and believe, but it's because of our incredible people at Schwab, many of whom have been working together for 10 to 20 years, that make them believe us and say, "Wow, you guys really do what you say you do."

Cut back to Clay working with his two colleagues around the laptop.

[00:01:31] Choosing a retirement plan vendor is about more than finding the right recordkeeper. It really is about finding the right team. Team of people who can help employees across all aspects of their financial lives, and Schwab is uniquely positioned to do that.

Cut to Clay talking to clients on his cell phone, this time looking out the window. We see the view outside of a large American flag on a flagpole. Clay is smiling while speaking with his client.

[00:01:46] So even though I'm in sales, I never feel like I'm selling or pushing anything. My job is to simply demonstrate the Schwab difference and say, "Thanks for having us.".

[00:01:56] So yeah, I love what I do.

[00:00:02] My name is Angela Tyrpak and I'm a Senior Relationship Manager at Schwab Retirement Plan Services.

[00:00:09] Wanting to help people has always been a part of who I am. I thought nursing would be a perfect path, but I had to switch gears once I realized I didn't really have the stomach for it.

[00:00:19] My first job out of college was in the call center at Schwab. Then I got married and had children, and decided to step away from work for a while.

A picture of Angela with her children is shown.

[00:00:26] After my kids were in school, I looked back at my time at Schwab and remembered that the culture and people are what brought me there in the first place.

Cut to Angela in a yoga studio, placing a yoga mat on the floor. She then sits down on the mat with her legs crossed and eyes closed, focused.

[00:00:35] That culture, combined with wanting to make a positive impact in people's lives, is what brought me back 13 years later. People work their whole lives and it's so rewarding to help them to relax and be financially secure.

[00:00:48] My start in the call center really prepared me to be a wonderful retirement relationship manager, because I had already understood what plan sponsors are hearing, what they're going through, and what their participants are asking for.

Cut back to Angela in the yoga studio, still seated on the mat, meditating with her eyes shut. There is a close-up on her eyes as she opens them.

[00:01:01] My calm nature and my background as a yoga teacher also helped me to relate to my clients. Being empathetic truly does build stronger relationships.

[00:01:10] I remember a time a client was super stressed. I said, "This is what I'm here for. Let's work through this together." What was really nice is that we broke down barriers neither of us knew existed. We became much closer and she thanked me for the amount of exhale that I provided.

Cut back to Angela in the yoga studio, in a pose with her hands flat on the mat.

[00:01:25] Getting back to the people here, they are all amazing. I love working with the sales team, they prepare us all so well.

Angela is seated with two colleagues around a laptop, discussing business with them.

[00:01:33] We had a presentation recently and the prospect said we did phenomenal. We talked all about the points they cared about, what was important to them. We listened to them.

[00:01:43] In the end, this future client said, "These are my people." I get it. These are my people too.

[00:00:02] My name is Joe Szathmary and I’m a Practice Lead here at Schwab Retirement Plan Services.

[00:00:06] Growing up in a lower middle class household, it was tough for my parents to make ends meet. My father sometimes had to take on a second job, but we always seemed to have what we needed.

[00:00:17] I remember my dad sitting at the dinner table with his yellow pad, working through the budget every Sunday. He was so meticulous.

We see Joe working at his desk, writing on a notepad.

[00:00:24] One day I asked him to show me how he kept things in order. It was very interesting. And the reason why I went on to get a degree in Business and Economics.

Cut to a shot of the interior of the Schwab office building lobby. We then see a computer in one of the offices, showing the homepage of the Schwab website.

[00:00:31] Before I interviewed at Schwab, I did some research. If you look at the Schwab website, you see things like, "We put the clients first. We see through our clients eyes.".

[00:00:40] If I had a dime for every time I heard that from other companies, I'd have a lot of dimes.

[00:00:44] But when I started meeting with folks here at Schwab, I'm like, "These guys are not just saying it. They're living it."

Joe is now seated with two of his colleagues, working together. Joe is talking to one of the colleagues seated while he writes notes down on his notepad.

[00:00:50] I'm around some of the best people in the industry, not only because of their experience, but also their ability to communicate with clients. They understand their clients.

[00:00:59] I remember when I first started at Schwab, I was part of a sales opportunity with a client that was having service issues with their current provider. The client needed us to understand their data requirements. They also needed help with their merger and acquisition activity.

Joe is now seated around a laptop with the same two colleagues from the previous b-roll shot.

[00:01:12] Working closely with the client contact, we built a comprehensive data filtering process, and developed an M&A Guide, which we used to bring in 14 acquisitions in their first year.

[00:01:23] There are four key principles that helped us achieve this: accountability, transparency, communication, and collaboration.

[00:01:30] And those four tenets, I think, are why folks do business with us, because we make it easy to do business with us.

[00:00:03] My name is Juliana MacTaggart and I am a Director of Consultant Relations for Schwab Retirement Plan Services.

[00:00:09] I am very passionate about saving for retirement.

We see a picture of Juliana as a child, with her mother and father. We see another picture of Juliana as a young adult, with her arm around her father.

[00:00:12] Growing up in Colombia, I saw my dad build his civil engineer company from scratch. He worked very hard, but he didn't prepare for retirement. And when times became rough, he lost a lot.

[00:00:22] That's been a lesson that has stayed with me and it made me determined to find a career that would allow me to always take care of myself and make better decisions.

Juliana is now on a golf course, in golf attire, setting up a golf ball on a tee. We see her tee off with a clean drive.

[00:00:31] I wanted to come to the United States to study. I was very fortunate to get a golf scholarship, which allowed me to play golf only part of the year while earning my Economics degree. I came here with two suitcases, my golf bag and myself.

[00:00:44] By pure luck, my first job out of college was in the finance department in a retirement company.

[00:00:49] And shortly after that, I realized how important it is to help participants understand the value of saving now for later. It brought back how my own parents weren't prepared for their retirement.

Cut to an exterior shot of the Schwab office building, with the signage centered in view.

[00:01:00] When that company got sold, I found a job at Schwab. It's been one of the best things that has happened to me.

[00:01:06] Because Schwab is a company that really cares about our clients. And our clients know it!

[00:01:10] It's so rewarding to hear from them that our people and our service aren't just best-in-class, but that they truly help their participants prepare for retirement.

Juliana is standing in a hallway on the second floor of the office with a colleague. Juliana is holding a folder and reviewing the contents of this folder with her colleague.

[00:01:19] I also feel lucky to be at Schwab because we care about and help each other. We believe in what we do and we do it with kindness.

[00:01:27] I remember a time I didn't know the answer to a client's question. So I hopped on my little canoe and paddled down the Schwab River until I found a person that could help me.

Juliana is seen walking through the office with a colleague, towards a dry-erase whiteboard table where two more colleagues are waiting for them.

[00:01:36] It is a great feeling knowing I can entrust my client to a teammate who will take care of them as well as I do.

Cut back to Juliana with her three colleagues, planning at the whiteboard table. We then cut to Juliana back at the golf course, teeing off on another hole with a drive.

[00:01:42] I sometimes even play golf with them! If they're lucky.

[00:00:41] Objectively, as I tried to make the decision, I made charts about the pros and cons of each firm. And my dad's advice was really simple as I was struggling with the decision.

Animated shot of a pen over a clipboard. The pen writes “Pros” and “Cons” on a clipboard.

[00:00:51] He said, "Marci, think about how each firm made you feel throughout the hiring process. That represents their culture. That's how they're going to treat you as an employee and how they're going to treat their clients and how you'll be expected to treat your clients."

Cut to Marci walking through the main lobby of the Schwab office. She greets a colleague waiting for her in the lobby, and they shake hands. The colleague opens a folder and goes over the contents with Marci. There are shots of them smiling and nodding at each other as they work together.

[00:01:06] His advice made the decision very simple. They gave me time to consider my options and I'm so thankful that I called my dad that day. It's been a great decision.

[00:01:17] At our business, it really all comes down to the people. That's what makes Schwab different from all of the rest. Everyone here cares so much about helping not only each other, but also helping our clients achieve their goals.

We see Marci and her colleague leave the lobby. Cut to Marci working with two other colleagues in the office, drawing on a dry-erase whiteboard table.

[00:01:31] We do our best to be empathetic—to see through their eyes. And when you combine that with the depth of knowledge and experience, and our wide array of services, we come up with solutions that our clients never imagined possible. And that's what makes them stay with us.

[00:01:48] It's also probably one of the main reasons that I'm still here 25 years later. Because from day one, I felt cared about. We don't just talk the talk. We walk the walk at Schwab.

Cut back to Marci outside, with her bag over her shoulder. We now see that she has been walking towards the Schwab office.

[00:01:59] That's why I don't feel like my job is as much a responsibility as it is a privilege.

[00:00:02] My name is Marci Stewart and I'm Director of Client Experience for Schwab Retirement Plan Services.

[00:00:07] For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to help people. When I grew up, I thought I would be a teacher.

Cut to a shot of Marci walking outside with a bag over her shoulder.

[00:00:14] But as I got older, I started helping my parents bookkeeping both of their small businesses. And I realized as a teenager, that I loved math and statistics.

[00:00:24] Kind of geeky, I know.

Briefly cut back to Marci walking outside.

[00:00:26] It dawned on me that I could have a career helping people manage their money more effectively. Finance degree, here I come! After graduation, I was fortunate. I had three job offers from different financial firms.

Marci Stewart: Director of Client Experience, math lover.

Marci loves math. But you know what she geeks out on more than crunching numbers? Helping others.

Onscreen text: Rebecca Clark, Practice Lead

[00:00:02] My name is Rebecca Clark and I'm a Practice Lead for Charles Schwab Retirement Plan Services.

[00:00:07] If you had asked me when I was growing up, or even in college, if I would eventually have this job, I would have said, "No way." My parents' idea of saving was putting cash into an envelope.

We see Rebecca standing in the lobby of the Schwab office, reviewing a folder with one of her colleagues. They are smiling together as they go over the folder.

[00:00:18] Even in school, we weren't taught about financial wellness, how to be responsible, how to build credit, how to save. That's why I love what I do, because I'm able to help so many people build a healthier financial future.

[00:00:31] Some colleagues and I were recently volunteering in the community, and we ran a financial simulation for about 30 kids. It was incredible to see how kids, even at a very young age, can understand financial concepts. They're like little sponges, and it feels good to help start them off on the right foot.

We see pictures of Rebecca working with a group of kids in a school. One of the pictures shows the whole class smiling for the camera, and another one of the pictures shows many kids in blue shirts standing in front of a sign that reads “Charles Schwab Thank You!”

[00:00:48] When people ask me what's different about Schwab, I always say our people. We have an incredible team. Like a really, really incredible team. I don't think we talk about our people enough.

Cut to Rebecca working around a dry-erase whiteboard table with three of her colleagues. She is drawing on the board as they discuss business together.

[00:01:00] Everyone here is just as excited and motivated as I am to help our clients, help each other and help the communities we live in—and I think it really shows.

Rebecca and a client are walking down a hallway in the office together, smiling as they talk to each other. The two walk towards a table with chairs and sit down to work together.

[00:01:10] Schwab makes it very easy for us to do our jobs. Plan sponsors often ask me if Schwab can help their employees and ways beyond their 401K. The answer is yes!

[00:01:20] We offer a total financial experience to help them build stronger futures. And because they already know us, they trust us.

Cut back to Rebecca with her client. Rebecca points to a laptop as they discuss their business together.

[00:01:28] It's very rewarding knowing they could go anywhere, yet they are choosing us. All of this is why I'm excited to come to work every day at Schwab.

OPENING SCENE: Exterior shot of a Charles Schwab office building. Inside, we see a woman (Michelle) standing in a hallway, smiling. Cut to Michelle, seated inside a Schwab meeting area, speaking to the camera.

Michelle Vieira [00:00:03] My name is Michelle Vieira, and I'm Director of Communication Consulting for Schwab Workplace Services. My path to Schwab is probably a little different than most. I always wanted to be a teacher. So, I got a degree in English Literature. And even though I didn't ultimately wind up as a teacher, I always landed in roles where there is a teaching element involved.

SCENE CHANGE: We see Michelle in her kitchen, making a salad, chopping vegetables on a cutting board. Cuts back to Michelle inside Schwab.

Michelle Vieira [00:00:28] I also enjoy taking classes, continuing my professional education. But also for personal development, like cooking classes. So I guess it's not surprising that my role with Schwab is all about teaching participants how to harness the power of their equity to reach their financial goals.

SCENE CHANGE: We see pictures of a younger Michelle: one carving a Thanksgiving turkey, one of graduation day in cap and gown smiling with parents, and one as a little girl standing in front of a fireplace at Christmas time. Cuts back to Michelle inside Schwab.

Michelle Vieira [00:00:49] My first teachers in life, my parents, immigrated to the United States from the Azores. And because Portuguese culture is all about saving, I saw my parents invest in real estate and save as much money as possible. How lucky to have instilled in me as a child the same financial principles that I use every day in my work.

SCENE CHANGE: Michelle is walking with a colleague into an atrium where they are joined around a conference table by two more colleagues. They are all smiling and talking with each other. Cuts back to Michelle inside Schwab.

Michelle Vieira [00:01:12] And I couldn't do what I do without such a fantastic team. They're the best. We feel like a family. We're always there for each other and have shared values. It's a great feeling because we're helping both participants and plan sponsors achieve their goals.

SCENE CHANGE: Michelle is seen in a Schwab conference room meeting with colleagues and taking notes. Cuts back to Michelle inside Schwab, talking to camera.

Michelle Vieira [00:01:27] I've never worked anywhere that people are so genuine and truly care about one another. And the same quality carries over to what we do for our clients. We all want participants to understand the awesome benefits that their employers are giving them and use them to their fullest advantage. We really do care and pay attention to what would be the best for each individual client. We look for ways to create unique solutions like helping to get messaging in front of employees who aren't in front a computer every day. Or creating on-site educational seminars specific to the needs of their employees. It's what makes Schwab different.

CLOSING SCENE: We see an exterior shot of a Charles Schwab monument sign outside the building. Cuts back to Michelle in her kitchen, preparing her salad. Ends with shot of Michelle back inside Schwab, looking at camera and smiling.

Michelle Vieira [00:02:03] I remember the first day I started at Schwab, watching the Welcome to Schwab videos. I thought, I'm excited to work here and I want to retire from here. And 13 years later, I still feel the same way. Having the opportunity to cook up new ways to help people reach their goals is very fulfilling. This is where I belong.

OPENING SCENE: Exterior shot of a Charles Schwab monument sign. We then see a man (Bryce) inside a Schwab office building, crossing his arms and smiling. Cuts to Bryce seated inside a Schwab meeting area.

Bryce Harman [00:00:03] My name is Bryce Harman, and I'm Senior Manager of Executive Services Trading for Schwab Stock Plan Services. I first became interested in the world of finance working on the Personal Finance Merit Badge as a Boy Scout.

SCENE CHANGE: We see a photo of a younger Bryce playing acoustic guitar, surrounded by friends.

Bryce Harman [00:00:19] I remember how satisfying it was to get jobs in high school to save up for my first guitar and music lessons. I still love playing guitar today.

SCENE CHANGE: Cut to Bryce outside, playing acoustic guitar. We then see a framed photo of Bryce graduating from college, holding his degree. Cuts back to Bryce inside Schwab.

Bryce Harman [00:00:24] I wasn't sure college was for me, but my dad and grandfather convinced me otherwise. Getting the college degree was about setting a really big goal, and then just doing whatever it takes to accomplish it. That translates well into talking to folks about saving and investing for their future.

SCENE CHANGE: We see another framed picture, this time of a young Bryce with his dad. Cuts back to Bryce inside Schwab, talking to camera.

Bryce Harman [00:00:43] My dad is a financial advisor and I used to work part-time for him. He taught me many valuable lessons including the importance of paying yourself first. 10 to 20 percent is the best way to achieve your financial goals.

SCENE CHANGE: We see Bryce walking and talking with a colleague outside the Schwab building. Bryce is holding a folder with paperwork as they walk. Cuts back to Bryce talking to camera.

Bryce Harman [00:00:57] When I came to Schwab 25 years ago, my first job was answering questions on the hotline. It's so rewarding to have grown into this position I have now, offering white glove service to key executives. 90% of our calls are answered in under 30 seconds. My CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation comes in handy because this is not just a general 800 number…

SCENE CHANGE: Bryce and his colleague sit down around a table in an atrium with a couple more colleagues, and they continue to collaborate on their work, smiling and laughing together. Cuts back to Bryce inside.

Bryce Harman [00:01:18] …this is a dedicated team that's trained to talk to your C-suite team, your executives, your Board of Director affiliates, and their advisors. Mentoring the growth of our Stock Plan Services team has been very rewarding. They recently achieved their highest employee engagement results ever, over the 80th percentile. Given the space, people constantly surprise you with their ingenuity and creativity.

SCENE CHANGES: Additional shots show Bryce at the table with colleagues, intercut with scenes of him playing acoustic guitar and exterior views of the Schwab building.

Bryce Harman [00:01:39] It's so unique that Schwab allows us the freedom to explore and write our own music. That's a big Schwab difference.

SCENE CHANGES: We see Bryce in a conference room talking with colleagues.

Bryce Harman [00:01:48] And it's clearly working. This past year, seeing over $2 billion in new assets come in based on very satisfied advisors saying, "We really liked so much how you did this with this particular executive."

CLOSING SCENE: We see Bryce in the meeting room, talking and smiling.

Bryce Harman [00:01:59] I love my job, doing the workshops, teaching financial literacy, putting the client first. If you end up finding a job or career where you're doing what you love to do, it doesn't feel like work. Have to say that after 25 years at Schwab, I do feel like I'm just getting warmed up.

SCENE CHANGE: Cut to a picture of Sean's parents, both in military uniform, standing outside in front of an Air Force plane. Cuts back to Sean inside Schwab.

Sean Ross [00:00:08] Growing up with both parents in the Air Force, I always wanted to be a pilot, but life flew me in a different direction. From a young age, I was always interested in financial services, but also sports, which kept me very busy in high school and college.

SCENE CHANGE: We see two framed photos—one of Sean in a lacrosse uniform standing between his parents, holding a trophy. The second is of Sean playing lacrosse. Cuts back to Sean inside Schwab.

Sean Ross [00:00:20] Luckily, my dad was big into investing and setting our family up for financial freedom, and my uncle was a career financial advisor. I always loved hearing about what they were both doing. Their passion for investing lit a fire under me to pursue a degree in Economics.

SCENE CHANGE: Exterior Schwab office building. Cuts back to Sean inside Schwab.

But my favorite part of the job is the relationships, especially with colleagues. It reminds me of the military where you know you can always count on others to have your back.

SCENE CHANGE: Sean is seen inside a Schwab conference room talking with colleagues. Cuts back to Sean by himself speaking to camera.

Sean Ross [00:00:59] One of my favorite memories is a time a client asked us to do something Schwab had never done before. There were a lot of long nights and early mornings, but first, we were able to reverse engineer a way to facilitate what they were asking for from a process standpoint, and second, build trust with the administrator who was going through this for the first time. We were in the trenches together for the benefit of their equity plan, and we built a really strong relationship that we still maintain today. It's great to work at a company that's so good at hiring the right people.

SCENE CHANGE: Sean is seen at the top of a bluff with his dog, looking at the snow-capped Rockies in the distance. Cuts back to Sean by himself speaking to camera.

Sean Ross [00:01:28] This industry requires folks that have a high sense of responsibility, critical thinking skills, and a deep care for the work they do and the clients they serve. I had a client early on in my career tell me, we don't view Schwab as a vendor, we view Schwab as a partner. And that's the Schwab difference.

CLOSING SCENE: Cut to Sean again with his dog, pausing along their hike, to pet it as it sniffs at him playfully and licks his face. Video finishes with Sean inside Schwab, smiling at the camera.

Sean Ross [00:01:44] That's something I carry with me every day and something that my team members use as their North Star. Having true friendships with clients and colleagues makes me feel very fortunate.

Sean Ross: Senior Team Manager, relationship-driven.

Grounded in military and financial roots, Sean values relationships and teamwork, as well as shows up as a trusted, reliable partner.

OPENING SCENE: Exterior shot of a Charles Schwab office building. We then see a man (Jim) outside that Schwab office building, crossing his arms and smiling. Cuts to Jim seated inside a Schwab meeting area.

Jim Alden [00:00:03] My name is Jim Alden, and I'm Director of Strategic Relationships, Workplace, for Schwab Stock Plan Services.

SCENE CHANGE: As Jim tells his story, we see a photo of a younger Jim in a sports jersey with some teammates. Cuts back to Jim inside Schwab.

Jim Alden [00:00:15] I have always believed that life should be lived in service of others. Even as a child, I had a heart for reconciliation, or bringing people together. I'm drawn to working through difficult circumstances and building strong relationships. That's why I got a psychology degree and planned on opening a private practice.

SCENE CHANGE: We see Jim riding his mountain bike on a dirt road in the country. He comes across a fork in the road, and takes the path on the left.

Jim Alden [00:00:28] But life has a way of leading us in different directions, and one day I found myself at Schwab.

SCENE CHANGE: We see a picture of Jim with his grandmother, and another picture of Jim graduating from college in his cap and gown. Cuts back to Jim inside Schwab, continuing his story.

Jim Alden [00:00:33] My interest in investing started when I was in college and my grandmother gave me several thousand dollars. I decided to open a brokerage account and was immediately hooked on the idea that I could own a piece of a company and participate in its success. Since then, I have enjoyed sharing this opportunity with others and helping people save for their future. I started out at a small market research firm and Schwab was actually one of my clients.

SCENE CHANGE: We see an exterior shot of a Schwab office building. Cuts back to Jim inside Schwab.

Jim Alden [00:01:04] During that time, I came to see that there was something different about the firm, about the people, about the culture that made me excited to join them when the opportunity arose.

Jim Alden [00:01:10] Even though my work in stock plans is very interesting, to me, life is all about relationships. How do you treat people? How do leave them feeling after you interact with them?

SCENE CHANGE: We see Jim on his mountain bike again, riding up a steep hill, then a closeup of Jim's face as he enjoys the beautiful scenery. Cuts back to Jim talking to camera.

Jim Alden [00:01:20] I especially like challenging relationships because it brings me joy to find common ground and help solve issues. I guess it's no wonder I became a relationship manager.

SCENE CHANGE: We see Jim working in the office with several of his colleagues – they all are smiling and laughing as they work together.

Jim Alden [00:01:28] And I'm lucky to work with an amazing team of very caring people. It's interesting to me that the Schwab culture of truly caring about what's best for clients is exactly the way my colleagues treat each other. There's a real spirit of cooperation and partnership throughout the firm. It's why I plan to stay here until I retire. At the end of the day, what makes us stand out in the marketplace isn't just the technology or the platform. It's our values, how we treat our customers, and how we build relationships.

CLOSING SCENE: Jim is back in the Schwab meeting room, talking to the camera and smiling.

Jim Alden [00:02:01] I hear it all the time from clients that Schwab is very different from the rest. I'm honored to be part of the Schwab difference.

A gift from his grandmother sparked Jim's interest in investing during college. He builds strong, values-driven client relationships that align closely with Schwab's mission.

OPENING SCENE: Exterior shot of a Charles Schwab office building. We then see a woman (Jeanette) inside a Schwab office building, near a window, crossing her arms and smiling. Cuts to Jeanette seated inside a Schwab meeting area.

Jeanette Kuhl [00:00:03] My name is Jeanette Kuhl and I'm a Senior Client Service Manager for Schwab Stock Plan Services.

Jeanette Kuhl [00:00:07] Like a lot of kids, I really didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up. My dad was a stockbroker and my mom ran a daycare. My mom needed my help with the kids when I was young, which I enjoyed because I really like helping others. So I guess it was a perfect upbringing that led me to my job at Schwab.

SCENE CHANGE: We see two framed photos of Jeanette when she was growing up with her family. Cuts back to Jeanette talking to camera.

Jeanette Kuhl [00:00:23] My dad mentored me in all things finance and encouraged me to get a degree in economics. My mom inspired me to help others and volunteer. They were both great at teaching me how to handle money. They never gave me an allowance. I had to earn every penny, like washing their cars or pulling weeds. And I've carried on those values to my kids and to my work.

SCENE CHANGE: Cut to a framed photo sitting on a table, which shows Jeanette graduating college in her cap and gown. Cuts back to Jeanine inside Schwab.

Jeanette Kuhl [00:00:45] I found a great job right out of college with an international investment firm where I started my career, eventually managing a team of 60, with clients all over the globe.

SCENE CHANGE: Sweeping view of exterior Schwab office building, followed by Jeanette walking and talking with a colleague outside that building. We then see Jeanette and male colleague inside the building seated around a small table with two additional colleagues, talking about work.

Jeanette Kuhl [00:00:57] It set me up well for my job at Schwab. It's exciting to work for a company that is so well respected and has so many wonderful colleagues. Our entire team is very supportive, very collaborative. This is unusual in the corporate world, and I don't take that for granted. It's a key part of the Schwab difference.

SCENE CHANGE: We see Jeanette in a conference room with colleagues. They are enjoying collaborating together, smiling and laughing as they take notes and type on their laptops. Cuts back to Jeanette talking to camera.

Jeanette Kuhl [00:01:13] My way of working with clients is about full transparency. Being honest with clients, or anyone really, is the best way to build trust. When I first started at Schwab, we had a client going through an IPO, and I was brutally honest with her. But that honesty built a very strong relationship that still exists today. We also became close friends. Which I don't think is that uncommon at Schwab because we truly care and listen to our clients.

SCENE CHANGE: We see Jeanette working in her garden, tending to plants and watering them. Cuts back to Jeanette looking into camera. Ends with a smile and a wink.

Jeanette Kuhl [00:01:38] Even when you love your job, it can still be stressful. So, I'm glad I have my love for gardening. It's my happy place. I work in my garden almost every day after work. My husband thinks it's a natural extension of who I am as a person. Caring and tending to things. Well, I guess he's right, for once.
